Katie B
Katie grew up in New Jersey where she first started playing field hockey in middle school. While in high school, Katie ran track and played field hockey all four years. She was a member of the school’s varsity team that won a 2006 NJ Sectional Championship her senior year. During her junior year of college she, along with a close friend, took initiative about the lack of field hockey and created Coastal Carolina University’s intermural club field hockey team. Together they helped build a club that competes across the south and participates in national tournaments to this day. Katie relocated to Charleston in 2017 and a year later found herself googling ‘field hockey in Charleston’ which led her to finding the Charleston Field Hockey Club. She has volunteered with the Club since 2018; serving various roles on the board and as a coach.

Reshma S
I’m originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where I spent many years playing field hockey both in school and with a club team. I later continued my playing career at the Division III level at Connecticut College. Field hockey has played a pivotal role in shaping who I am—it’s taught me valuable life skills, contributed to my professional success, and given me unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships. As both a coach and board member with Charleston Field Hockey, my goal is to share this incredible sport with the Lowcountry community. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for young athletes to grow their skills on the field, build confidence off the field, and form lasting connections through the game.

Alayna L
I’m originally from Maryland, where I fell in love with field hockey during my sophomore year of high school. My passion for the game grew quickly, leading me to become team captain by my senior year. Playing field hockey helped me build confidence on and off the field, pushed me to grow, and taught me the true value of teamwork. After high school, I joined the U.S. Coast Guard where I met my husband. We moved to Charleston in 2022, and I was thrilled to discover Charleston Field Hockey after wanting to get back into playing. It is an honor to be given the opportunity to coach aspiring players in our community, especially since field hockey has played such a significant role in shaping who I am. As a coach, I am deeply committed to create that same lasting impact for every player I work with.

Emily A
Hey y’all! I’m Emily! I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and started playing field hockey when I was in the third grade. I continued playing all the way through my senior year of high school; I played for various indoor leagues and clubs as well as my high school’s varsity team. For college, I headed down south to attend the University of South Carolina. After graduating from USC in 2023, I moved to Charleston. Around this time, I realized how much I was missing field hockey and being part of a team, which led me to discover Charleston Field Hockey. I coached for a season back in 2023, and I’m so happy to be back this year! I look forward to helping others discover their love for this amazing sport and that’s been a part of my life for almost 17 years now! Let’s grow the game! tion goes here

I grew up in the Northeast but mainly in State College, PA. I played indoor, outdoor, and club field hockey growing up! I then played all four years at Hartwick College, a D3 school in upstate NY. In college I mainly played midfield, but also was center back one year where I earned "Defender of the Year" for my conference! After graduating, I decided to move down to Charleston to work as a nurse. About a year later I did some searching and I found Charleston Field Hockey! I am so excited to spread my love for field hockey with everyone here!

Grayce W
Grayce is excited to join the club as a new field hockey coach and bring her passion and experience back to the game. Originally from Western New York, she earned her undergraduate degree in Music before moving to Georgia to complete her master’s degree.
Field hockey has been a part of Grayce’s life since her adolescent years, continuing through high school and college. She has also coached clinics for both adolescents and young adults, helping players develop their skills and love for the sport.
When she’s not on the field, Grayce is a high school choir director for Charleston County, where she inspires students through music. She is thrilled to combine her teaching background and athletic experience to support and develop the next generation of field hockey players.

I’m originally from Northeast Pennsylvania, where I spent my middle school and high school years playing field hockey. Joining a club team in high school only grew my love for the game. I continued my career in the NCAA, starting at Longwood University and ending at Goucher College. Field hockey has played a crucial role in shaping who I am today. After graduating college in May 2025, I moved to Charleston to attend Charleston School of Law. I was thrilled to find Charleston Field Hockey to continue not only playing, but to continue coaching and giving back to the sport that has given me so much in life.
