Katie B
Katie grew up in New Jersey where she first started playing field hockey in middle school. While in high school, Katie ran track and played field hockey all four years. She was a member of the school’s varsity team that won a 2006 NJ Sectional Championship her senior year. During her junior year of college she, along with a close friend, took initiative about the lack of field hockey and created Coastal Carolina University’s intermural club field hockey team. Together they helped build a club that competes across the south and participates in national tournaments to this day. Katie relocated to Charleston in 2017 and a year later found herself googling ‘field hockey in Charleston’ which led her to finding the Charleston Field Hockey Club. She has volunteered with the Club since 2018; serving various roles on the board and as a coach.

Kaci M
I grew up in Lewes, DE where I started playing field hockey in third grade with my club team, Delaware Shore, and then picked it up in school through senior year. I coached the younger club team girls while I was in high school, even returning for a year after college to coach our U14 and U16s indoor and outdoor. A three-sport athlete (field hockey, swim and lacrosse), I went on to Northeastern University where I played Division One field hockey for the Huskies and earned my Doctorate in Pharmacy. While in Boston, I coached our college summer camps. I also worked with College Connection for a bit to help at the Shooting Stars tournaments. I have to give credit to my older sister who paved the way for field hockey, playing at Villanova and to my little sister who played with me on the same teams most years until she became a conference rival playing at University of Delaware. I moved to Charleston in 2017 and quickly realized field hockey did not exist here in the lowcountry. Similar to Katie B, I googled field hockey in Charleston and joined Charleston Field Hockey as soon as possible that spring. I've been a coach, board member and adult league player ever since. Field hockey (and sports in general) has taught me so much in life and brought many long lasting friendships. I hope to instill that same drive, teamwork and confidence I learned from playing in all the young athletes we meet.

Reshma S
I’m originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where I spent many years playing field hockey both in school and with a club team. I later continued my playing career at the Division III level at Connecticut College. Field hockey has played a pivotal role in shaping who I am—it’s taught me valuable life skills, contributed to my professional success, and given me unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships. As both a coach and board member with Charleston Field Hockey, my goal is to share this incredible sport with the Lowcountry community. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for young athletes to grow their skills on the field, build confidence off the field, and form lasting connections through the game.

Alayna L
I’m originally from Maryland, where I fell in love with field hockey during my sophomore year of high school. My passion for the game grew quickly, leading me to become team captain by my senior year. Playing field hockey helped me build confidence on and off the field, pushed me to grow, and taught me the true value of teamwork. After high school, I joined the U.S. Coast Guard where I met my husband. We moved to Charleston in 2022, and I was thrilled to discover Charleston Field Hockey after wanting to get back into playing. It is an honor to be given the opportunity to coach aspiring players in our community, especially since field hockey has played such a significant role in shaping who I am. As a coach, I am deeply committed to create that same lasting impact for every player I work with.

Libby F
I grew up in the Northeast but mainly in State College, PA. I played indoor, outdoor, and club field hockey growing up! I then played all four years at Hartwick College, a D3 school in upstate NY. In college I mainly played midfield, but also was center back one year where I earned "Defender of the Year" for my conference! After graduating, I decided to move down to Charleston to work as a nurse. About a year later I did some searching and I found Charleston Field Hockey! I am so excited to spread my love for field hockey with everyone here!

I’m originally from Northeast Pennsylvania, where I spent my middle school and high school years playing field hockey. Joining a club team in high school only grew my love for the game. I continued my career in the NCAA, starting at Longwood University and ending at Goucher College. Field hockey has played a crucial role in shaping who I am today. After graduating college in May 2025, I moved to Charleston to attend Charleston School of Law. I was thrilled to find Charleston Field Hockey to continue not only playing, but to continue coaching and giving back to the sport that has given me so much in life.

Kelly H
Kelly is thrilled to join the club as a new field hockey coach, and she’s bringing a whole lot of energy and passion with her! A lifelong lover of the game, she’s especially excited to help grow field hockey in the Lowcountry and introduce new players to a sport that’s meant so much to her.
Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania—just outside Philadelphia—Kelly picked up a stick in middle school and never looked back. She played throughout high school and went on to compete at the NCAA Division II level at Slippery Rock University. After college, her love for the game kept her on the field in adult recreation leagues before she made her move to Charleston in 2012.
Noticing a lack of field hockey opportunities in the area, Kelly was beyond excited to discover Charleston Field Hockey. Now, she’s passionate about coaching both adolescents and young adults—helping players sharpen their skills, build confidence, and most importantly, fall in love with the game.
Off the field, Kelly is just as busy and creative—she works full-time planning beautiful weddings! When it’s time to unwind, you’ll find her staying active at Kor4 Fitness or out on the water with her husband and their two yellow labs, soaking up the Lowcountry sunshine. goes here

Kelsey M
Kelsey was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia and moved to Charleston a little over a year ago! I began playing field hockey about 16 years ago, in the 2nd grade, and immediately fell in love with the sport—going on to play throughout elementary, middle, high school, with both school and travel teams, before going on to play at the collegiate level with a Division 1 program at UVA. I am forever grateful for the sport of field hockey, as it has greatly shaped the person I am today, having taught me valuable life skills—such as accountability, teamwork, confidence, and communication to name a few—and brought me lifelong friends. I am ecstatic to continue to grow the game in CHS, and further your daughters’ skill sets!
