Spring Travel TEAM

CFH is collaborating with regional club teams to introduce the Southern Hockey Series, a developmental field hockey league for beginner to intermediate level players. The goal is to create regularly scheduled events during the Spring Season that provide collaborative and competive playing opportunities for players grades 5-12. 

The 7 week travel season will run practices one night a week (March 29-May 10) on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30pm @ Redline Athletics turf field.

  • April 15: Winston-Salem, NC

  • April 23: Chapel Hill, NC

  • April 29: Durham, NC (*U12 & U14 players only)

  • May 6: Nashville, TN (*U16 & U19 players only)

  • May 13: Charleston, SC - Holy City Spring Sweep

HOLY CITY SPRING SWEEP

 CFH is excited to invite you to our third annual Holy City Spring Sweep play day! 

This event is run as a developmental play day for club teams interested in traveling to Charleston for a fun filled day of field hockey. Our tournament is a round-robin style 7v7 event; played on condensed fields. It is open to CFH players and USA FH Club Teams made up of 7-10 players, targeted towards beginner to intermediate teams, U10 through U19 age groups.

 

The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for clubs to come together, engage in friendly competition, and help grow the sport of field hockey here in the south!

New & returning CFH players will have a 5 week season leading up to our HCSS event:

  • Practices one night a week (April 12 - May 10) 5:30-6:30pm Wednesday nights  @ Redline Athletics turf field.

  • U12, U14, U16, & U19 age divisions

  • CFH players

  • Visiting Club Teams

  • CFH Adult League Players

  • Visiting Adult Teams

SUMMER CAMP

Porter-Gaud Camp Cyclone:

  • June 5-9, 9am-12pm

  • Located at Porter-Gaud School

  • Rising 3rd-6th grade

  • New and returning players welcome!

Mount Pleasant Park & Recreation:

  • June 12-16, 9am-12pm

  • Located at the R.L. Jones Center 

  • New and returning players welcome!

  • Rising 3rd-8th grade​

ADULT LEAGUE

- REGISTRATION OPEN -

The goal of this league is to have FUN! Each week we will create teams based on turnout for some laid back pick-up games. We are offering a discount rate for those who want to sign up for all 7 weeks. There is no obligation to come to every game; just come the nights you want and are able to. 

This could be a great opportunity to meet new friends and help foster the growth of our CFH community. So check us out and help spread the word to anyone that might be interested!

We've been working hard to navigate Charleston Field Hockey’s next move to expand outside of our normal “developmental level” programs... so now we are ready to LEVEL UP and offer y’all the elevated experiences you’ve been asking for!

 

Optimizing athletic performance by maximizing your physical skills and potential is our top priority. In order for players to develop & improve skills, we’ve created a customized program that focuses on:

 

  • Hand speed and stick handling skills

  • Enhance hitting mechanics, accuracy, & power

  • Stability & strength training to increase athletic performance and reduce the occurrence of injury
